Handyman

My Story

The man himself

I've been renovating and maintaining houses (mainly in the Kent area) for over 10 years. I recently moved back to the Brighton area after 35+ years and offer a competitively priced and reliable handyman service. You might call me a Jack of all trades, but if you're master of none then I'm your man.

Whether it's a full kitchen or bathroom, small repairs, furniture assembly, putting up shelves, or even just replacing your light bulbs; no job is too small. I'll come to you with everything I need to finish the job quickly, efficiently and at a great price.

If your project is outside my capabilities I will tell you and if possible help you find the right person for the job.

HOW I WORK

Generally I'll fit what you supply. If you're not sure what you need I'm happy to help you source the right materials for both the job in hand and your budget. I have access to discounted  trade pricing on some materials. If I can purchase something cheaper than you I'll pass on the savings.

I always tidy all areas where work has taken place and bag up any waste. I ask you to dispose of the waste as this will be cheaper for you. If you require me to dispose of rubbish, this will be charged for.

Pricing

Whether your project is small or large, I have a pricing structure that will give you the best possible value. For small jobs that can be easily explained an estimate can be given over the phone. More complicated projects would require a home visit to provide a more accurate assessment of what time would be needed to complete the work. There is no cost for this visit.

Hourly Rate

£40

Best for small jobs of an hour or two.  There is a minimum 1 hour charge.

1/2 Day Rate

£100

If your job is likely to take more than 2 hours book me for half a day.

1/2 day

Day Rate

£180

For slightly larger jobs book me for the whole day.

FIXED PRICE WORK

Jobs requiring more than a day will generally require a site visit followed by a written fixed price quotation. Quotations are free. A fixed price is exactly that, if the work takes longer than anticipated then there will be no extra charge. This also applies to half-day and day jobs (i.e. if I estimate half a day and it takes all day you only pay for half a day).
